Terms and Conditions
SERVICES
MOM2MOM BIZ® (“M2MB®”) offers Business Membership with a fee, as indicated on its website www.mom2mombiz.ca, payable via payments service provider Stripe. Business Membership includes Business Directory Listing (also known as Biz Directory Listing) and Business Stories Feature (also known as Biz Stories Feature), collectively known as Biz Listing.
M2MB® Events are listed under the Events Calendar on its website www.mom2mombiz.ca (when available) and registration/purchase can be done through the Eventbrite platform. Quarterly Online Business Networking Events are Free for the Business Members and are hosted on the Zoom platform.
By attending a M2MB® event, Client agrees that any images or video footage taken of herself, in whole or in part, individually or in conjunction with other images and video footage, to be used on M2MB® social media channels, website, and to be used for media purposes including but not limited to promotional presentations, marketing campaigns, local online and print media. Client agrees to waive rights to privacy and compensation, which she may have in connection with such use of her name and likeness, including rights to be written copy that may be created in connection with video production, editing, and promotion therewith.
The scope of the Biz Listing is to:
- Include the Client’s business name, logo, professional headshot photo and other public details such as business address, business social media links and the Biz Story Feature on M2MB®’s website www.mom2mombiz.ca for a period of ONE(1) year which automatically renews on a yearly basis thereafter until express termination by the Client. Termination requests must be sent in writing to hello@mom2mombiz.ca email address at least 5 business days before the expiry of the yearly renewal of the Biz Listing. The Client acknowledges there is no exclusivity of services granted and there may be other listings from other businesses that provide a product or service similar to the Client’s Business.
- Provide a link to the client’s website, which will be attached to the Biz Listing. The Client hereby accepts all responsibility for maintaining the Client’s website.
- Include Client’s Biz Story Feature on the website upon receipt from the Client by email. If the Client requires a professional writing service, it’s available to the Client with an additional fee which could be inquired by an email to hello@mom2mombiz.ca
PAYMENT
Business Membership Fees are collected by credit card on the website, using a third party company, Stripe, as the payment processor. By accepting, you authorize the collection of payments from your credit card. Business Membership subscription purchased through Stripe is set to an automatic renewal, based on the membership agreement registered: yearly auto-renewal. Auto-renewal is ongoing until the Client chooses to cancel the subscription. M2MB® reserves the right to immediately terminate the Client’s subscription and remove the Biz Listings, upon failure to receive yearly payments. Due to the online nature of the service, M2MB® has no return policy and will not return any collected Payments upon cancellation of the services by the Client. This policy may change from time to time via an update of this page. Please ensure that you check in for and understand any changes. Prices advertised are subject to such changes.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
M2MB® is hereby granted the irrevocable right to use the Client’s Logo in all forms and in all media and in all manners, without any changes or alterations thereto, for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition, or any other lawful purposes. All pages on the M2MB® Website are the property of M2MB®. The Client hereby waives any and all claims for ownership, income, editorial control and/or use of M2MB® Website. The Client acknowledges that M2MB® is solely providing an online resource for the community to access Business Directory Listings and Business Stories Feature. M2MB® is not endorsing the Client’s products or services.
RELEASE
The Client will indemnify M2MB® and save them harmless from and against any and all loss, claims, actions, damages, liability and expenses whatsoever in connection with loss of life, personal injury, damage to property or any other loss or injury arising from any provided services of M2MB® to which the Client has agreed and accepted, or any occurrence in, upon or at the Event, or occasioned wholly or in part by the act or omission of the Client or its agents, contractors, employees, servants, concessionaires, invitees and those for whom the Client is at law responsible. If M2MB®, without fault on its part, is made a party to any litigation commenced by or against the Client, its agents, contractors, employees, servants, concessionaires, or invitees of the Event, the Client shall protect and hold such M2MB® harmless from and against and shall pay all costs, expenses and legal and counsel fees on a full indemnity basis incurred or paid by M2MB® in connection with such legal proceeding.
The Client must not misuse M2MB® Platform. The Client will not directly or indirectly commit or encourage a criminal offence; transmit or distribute a virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb or any other material which is malicious, technologically harmful, in breach of confidence or in any way offensive or obscene; hack into any aspect of the Platform; corrupt data; cause annoyance to other users; infringe upon the rights of any other person’s proprietary rights; send any unsolicited advertising or promotional material, commonly referred to as “spam”; or attempt to affect the performance or functionality of any computer facilities of or accessed through the Platform. Breaching this provision may constitute a criminal offence and M2MB® will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and disclose your identity to them. We will try to resolve disputes when they first arise; please let us know if you have any complaints or comments by emailing us.

Our Website is a public source of general information which is intended, but not promised or guaranteed, to be correct, complete or up-to-date. We do not guarantee nor endorse any of the Listings found on the Site. Any reliance on the information provided on this website is solely at the users own risk.
Our Website may have links to other sites maintained by other organizations. We cannot provide any warranty about the accuracy on the source of information found on any of these Websites.
We are not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any damages howsoever caused commencing out of the viewing of this Website and communication of information to us. The content on this Website is subject to change at any time without notice.
All staff, associated advisors and service providers who are granted access to our client information and any file material understand the need to keep this information protected and confidential. They are fully informed that such information is to be used only for the purposes intended. We have also established physical system safeguards, along with proper processes, to protect client information from unauthorized access or use.
We do not sell, rent, loan or otherwise disclose any personal information to anyone outside of our organization. Any information you give us is treated with care and stored securely, and subject to this privacy policy will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.
While we place an extremely high value on your privacy, we at all times reserve the right to disclose information where required by law; to comply with valid legal processes such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order; to protect our firms rights and property; or during emergencies when safety is at risk.

That being said, once we receive your personal information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. Request erasure of your Personal Data. You have the right to ask us to delete or remove Personal Data when there is no good reason for us to continue processing it.

Please note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.

Upon request, we will provide you with access to any personal information that we have collected about you. The Client has fully read and understood all the contents above and freely agrees to such terms and accepts such terms voluntarily without and duress or undue influence.
