Who is Tara Sani, could you please introduce yourself?

My name is Tara. I am a proud mother of two amazing sons. In 2003, my family and I moved to Canada from Iran. I have a Biology bachelor’s degree and a Biotechnology advanced diploma. Recently I obtained my LLQP license in life insurance and investments.

What is your business and when did you start?

My husband and I have been co-owners of Maxcopy in Mississauga since 2008. Later, I’ve developed an interest in business and obtained an LLQP licence in life insurance and investments. Currently, I work as a Financial Advisor.

What inspired you to start your business?

As a mom, wife and an enthusiastic businesswoman, my desire was to define my own business hours while also getting paid well. My business allows lots of socializing too, which is an added bonus.

What were the challenges in the initial stages of your business and how did you overcome them?

My biggest issue, like that of any other business, is persuading people that they require my services. We humans assume that we shall always be young and healthy until the end of our lives. However, we should begin planning for retirement and a legacy for our children as soon as possible.

What motivates you about your business?

My passion motivates me. If you enjoy what you do, you will bring a lot of positive energy to your company and attract a lot of customers.

Interesting fact most of the people do not know about you?

I am a caring, empathetic, and a loving person. I adore myself, my family, and my circle of friends. The majority of my clients become friends with me.

The best business advice I ever received was…

Surround yourself with individuals who are optimistic, like-minded and successful.

My definition of success is…

Being surrounded by individuals who care about me and my business.  Also, providing my clients with the highest level of care and service possible.

If I could go back in time when I started my business, I would tell myself to…

Take it easy and don’t overthink. Enjoy what you do and your time with your family.

Three books I recommend for entrepreneurs are…

Winning from Within by Erica Ariel Fox

The 10 Secrets Revenue Canada Doesn’t Want You To Know! by David M. Voth

Boss Up! by Lindsay Teague Moreno

My personal tagline is…

Finding a Financial Advisor isn’t something you can be pushed to do, you’ll know when the time is right.
