Who is Seda Savkliyildiz, could you please introduce yourself?

My name is Seda Savkliyildiz, I am 33 years old. I am a graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering, the field in which I had a career for five years. I have decided to immigrate to Canada due to the negativities in my business life that caused my daughter to be born early and, I have been an immigrant mother since 2019.

What is your business and when did you start?

I have always dreamt of a job where I am in control. This dream became a necessity after my daughter was born. With the idea of a new country and new beginnings, I founded Rosarya. Rosarya is established in 2021 and has been in operation for 1 month.

What inspired you to start your business?

My husband and I have always talked about starting a company together and what we could do. I didn’t want this to remain just as a thought, so I started working on it without my husband’s knowledge and surprised him. I determined the field of the business by taking into account my 4-year-old daughter’s interest in makeup. Rosarya is established as a distrubutor of different brands. Canada’s multicultural structure inspired me to create this type of business.

What were the challenges in the initial stages of your business and how did you overcome them?

Since the business focus is cosmetics products, the permit processes is quite challenging. The whole process requires excellent planning and I am fit for that.

What motivates you about your business?

Happy customers! Helping people discover the magic that is missing from their skin!

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?

Complete the whole process as it should be and keep the control with you.

Interesting fact most of the people do not know about you?

I am a person who is extremely detail-oriented and adhering to the rules.

The best business advice I ever received was…

Never be afraid of making mistakes and start immediately.

My definition of success is…

Living as you believe is the way.

If I could go back in time when I started my business, I would tell myself to…

Actually, it’s never too late for anything since I am a new small business owner.

My personal tagline is…

Don’t wait, keep going.
