Who is Karen Sue-A-Quan, could you please introduce yourself?

Hello, my name is Karen Sue-A-Quan and I am a Spiritual Life Coach and Pharmacist.

What is your business and when did you start?

My business is in Spiritual Life Coaching and I started 3 years ago.

What inspired you to start your business?

My pharmacy experience in a pediatric intensive care unit ignited within me a fascination of the life journey that we all travel along.  I believe we are all on a soul journey returning to love, kindness, compassion, truth, beauty and goodness – the spiritual virtues that we all connect with.

What were the challenges in the initial stages of your business and how did you overcome them?

My initial challenges were; I had no business experience and had only a passion to serve in some way. I fumbled around with little direction, little technology skill, and little business sense. Step by step, I reached out to take courses, I joined business networking groups, and learned from those who were further ahead than I was in their entrepreneurial journey. Because I was driven by my passion, I began to learn from my triumphs and my tribulations. I made many connections along the way which I learned that we could go on this entrepreneurial journey together side-by-side and in collaboration.

What motivates you about your business?

I love anything that has to do with soul growth. In my heart, I feel there is nothing that replaces the feeling of love, of kindness, of compassion, of truth, of beauty and of goodness. These are universal feelings regardless of race, gender, educational backgrounds or culture.  It is our internal light that is a part of a universal light and love.  I cannot explain what exactly it is that I do, but I can help others to feel better, lighter, more calm and more at peace. I use intuition, creativity, strong listening, deep caring, hypnosis, meditation and natural teaching as ways to help my clients get back in touch with who they divinely are. The more the soul can lead in life, the more the pieces fall into place whether it be their personal, professional or business life.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?

My advice is always believe in yourself and that you have a special gift to give. That gift is your soul.  The essence of who you really are (beyond your roles, your trainings, and other people’s labelling of you) is what you really are able to offer. Everyone is shaped in their own unique ways with their own unique experiences that can be their offering to another. This is especially important when times get challenging and you begin to doubt yourself. In these moments, is exactly when you must draw upon your own internal WHY and believe that you have the resources within you to rise above it all.

Interesting fact most of the people do not know about you?

I fell into a manhole and broke my foot while looking up at the stars!

The best business advice I ever received was…

The more you know who you are, the more you are able to serve in the way only you can.

My definition of success is…

to be aligned to your soul’s truth and life flows with more ease, peace and harmony.

If I could go back in time when I started my business, I would tell myself to…

trust yourself above all else. Have the courage to step into the unknown and learn from every experience that is shaped from every moment.

Three books I recommend for entrepreneurs are…

“High Performance Habits” by Brendon Burchard

“Meet Your Soul” by Elisa Romeo

“A Fearless Heart” by Thupten Jinpa

My personal tagline is…

Unfolding Your Soul’s Gift To Give
