Who is Jennifer Stachowski, could you please introduce yourself?
I’m Jennifer Stachowski, a doTERRA Certified Essential Oil Specialist and Natural Health Educator who lights the path for you to create a lifestyle design. I help moms find a natural approach to health + self care. I have a passion for growth, leadership and giving back to others in ways where I can make a difference! I am devoted to your rise in self-leadership, owning your health, your success and the impact you can make on others as well.
What is your business and when did you start?
Elev8te Essentials was established in 2018 and provides essential oil education, showing families how oils transform health while also ditching the toxins through simple swaps of everyday products in the home. I help people bring Doterra products into their home at a discount, while providing my ongoing complimentary service of providing support and guidance. It’s so much easier to navigate and make life changes when you have someone like myself to help you along the way.
What inspired you to start your business?
I made a conscious decision to make simple swaps in my home after reading all the headlines about unsafe ingredients in products and learning there are little to no regulations when it comes to the ingredients companies can put into their products. I grew concerned about all of the choices I had made prior and wanted to make positive life changes for not only myself but for my daughter and her future by taking ownership in ways that were possible. We experienced such huge wins virtually instantaneously that I couldn’t not share with others so that other lives would positively be impacted. In a matter of weeks the skin condition I had for years (Melasma) disappeared and never returned. My daughter went from constantly having a runny nose and cough to not missing a single day of daycare and kindergarten which is virtually unheard of in this day in age. My daughter’s eczema completely cleared up. We rarely have seen doctors because there hasn’t been the need but we certainly wouldn’t hesitate if required. I grew so passionate about how Doterra oils support health on a physical and emotional level and knowing they are the only essential oils in the world trusted by the medical community and used in clinical research and used in medical hospitals and clinics around the globe I decided I absolutely had to start a business where I could give families new found hope.
What were the challenges in the initial stages of your business and how did you overcome them?
Learning how to use social media in a bigger way to educate and connect with others was something that required navigating. I learned from others and through my determined nature and my constant desire to be creative, I was able to learn quickly.
What motivates you about your business?
100% has to do with helping others. The stores of life changes through use of Doterra essential oils just leaves me in awe time and time again. Seeing and hearing before and after stories is so incredibly gratifying.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?
I read a quote some time ago that said, “Start Before You’re Ready”. Honestly, you could make a million excuses of why you should hold off. You will never be 100% ready. Jump in and do it.
Interesting fact most of the people do not know about you?
Most people do not know the journey I went through as an adoptive parent.
The best business advice I ever received was…
Do not be fearful. Fear is False, Evidence, Appearing, Real.
My definition of success is…
Making a difference in the lives of others. If I haven’t accomplished this, then my purpose wasn’t fulfilled.
If I could go back in time when I started my business, I would tell myself to…
Go big or go home. Be bold. I thought I was out there in letting people know what I was up to initially but looking back I couldn’t have shouted from the rooftops…ok maybe not rooftops but definitely could have added extra creativity in getting word out there.
Three books I recommend for entrepreneurs are…
Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie
Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson M.D.
My personal tagline is…
“Empowering the world’s mothers with natural solutions for their families.”
